Issa Cycle

The meme pretty much says it all. You meet someone. You start talking. You start liking them. You find out they ain't shit. You stop talking. Then its on to the next. Well, remember the guy that I went on the date with and wished I could have taken the to go plate?? He's fallen into the cycle. I wouldn't exactly say that I found out that he ain't shit but he definitely fell off. One weekend we couldn't hang because his sons mother flaked on her weekend to get him. The next weekend he had the flu and from there I couldn't tell you what happened to the guy.

To Go or Not To go ... That is the question.

So, I'm a few weeks late with this post and I really promise to do better guys. Ok so 3 weeks ago ( yea I told you I was late ) a guy that I had been chatting with from Bumble asked me if I wanted to grab a bite to eat. I said yes so it was a date. The spot we went to had a variety of food. We ended up getting two appetizers and sharing some wings. Those wings were the BOMB. I wasn't trying to look l...

The WHY ...

I'm not new to online dating. My DMs started poppin back in the days of Black Planet. One day I decided to join ALL of the dating sites and blog about my experiences. There's a ton of sites and apps but I don't think I have the patience or storage space on my phone for all of them. So, I think I'll start with POF, Bumble, Soul Swipe and Black People Meet. Now, before you ask ... I'm not opposed to meeting someone "in real life" ( or blogging about it ). My work schedule doesn't let me get out and be social as much as the normal person does. Plus as much as I like to get out I really don't want to be out in bars, lounges and clubs EVERY weekend. Hell, I'm getting old. Online dating just makes sense. Why not? It doesn't matter if I meet someone in person or online. I just want to meet someone. Ultimately, I'd like to meet a nice man and maybe turn this blog into a love story. As you can see from my first blog post this will definitely...

Why did you block me Kyle?

I thought we were starting our new journey by being honest. Apparently I was a little too honest for Kyle.
